C.A.R. spray pattern

In Apex Legends, the C.A.R. climbs steeply off the first round, pulls left, then sweeps back to the right. Here's the shape, the numbers, and how to control it — then drill it into muscle memory on SprayTrace.

Your mouse path — start on the crosshair and follow it down. The bullets climb the opposite way; this is the movement that cancels them.

How to control it

Controlling the C.A.R. spray

  1. Pull down to cancel the climb. The C.A.R. rises about 7.5° over its first burst — drag straight down to keep the crosshair on target as it climbs.
  2. Counter the horizontal sweep. After the climb the pattern swings 4.5° across — the spray pulls left, so ease right first, then come back left as it sweeps right.
  3. Reset between bursts. Recoil fully resets after about 0.30s off the trigger — tap-fire or burst at range, spray up close.
  4. Drill it to muscle memory. At 930 RPM a full 16-round spray plays out in ~1.03s. Trace it in SprayTrace at 20% speed, then ramp to full, then go Blind.
